Privacy Policy

What we collect

• When you contact us (the contact form, an agent’s page or a listing’s “Schedule a showing” form): your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your message, the days and time of day you’d like to see a home, and which page or listing you wrote from.
• When you write a review (from a link one of our agents sent you): your star rating, your review, the name you want shown with it, and the name and email address the agent used to send you the link.
• Technical information that any website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider keeps this briefly in server logs for security and troubleshooting; we don’t use it to identify you.

We don’t ask for, and you shouldn’t send through these forms, financial details, Social Security numbers or passwords.

How we use it

• To answer your message or showing request. It goes to the agent you contacted (or the listing’s agent) and to our office, and we email you a short note confirming we received it.
• To publish your review on the agent’s page, under the name you chose, after our office approves it.
• To keep our business records and to protect the site from spam and abuse.

We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email because you used a form.

Who we share it with

Only with the people and services needed to run the site and answer you:

• Our agents and broker.
• Service providers that work for us: our website host (Vercel), our database provider (Neon), our email delivery service (Resend), our office email (Microsoft 365), and Cloudflare, which stores our photos and videos and handles our domain. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
• Anyone we’re required to share with by law, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-site advertising. If a transaction moves forward, the information you choose to give your agent is handled under your agreement with us, not this website policy.

Cookies and browser storage

• Visitors: we don’t set cookies for you. Your saved homes and recently viewed homes are kept only in your own browser. To show them, your browser asks our site for those homes’ details; we don’t store that list or link it to you. Clearing your browser data removes them. A “saved homes” link you share contains the list of homes, so anyone with the link can see it.
• Our agents: signing in to our staff area sets one essential cookie that keeps them signed in. It isn’t used for anything else.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: because we don’t track visitors across websites or sell information, there is nothing for these signals to switch off on our site. Services embedded in our pages (below) follow their own policies.

Other services on our pages

Some pages show content served by other companies, who may receive your IP address and set their own cookies when that content loads or plays: property videos (Cloudflare Stream), 3D tours (from the tour provider, such as Matterport), street maps on listing pages (Google Maps), the live harbor camera on Our Area (IPCamLive), and listing photos from the multiple listing service. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from spam bots; it checks your browser and connection when you send a form, without ads or tracking. The Facebook share button is a plain link: nothing is sent to Facebook unless you click it. These services have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and showing requests as long as we need them to help you and to keep normal business records. Review links expire after 30 days. Published reviews stay up until you or we take them down. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (for example, a message you sent or a review you wrote). Email david@finiganrealestate.com or call (707) 464-7367. We’ll confirm the request came from you and respond within 45 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Only our agents and office staff can see messages, each limited to what their role needs, and our staff sign in with single-use email links rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive financial information through the website.

Children

This website is for adults buying and selling property. It isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here for a reasonable time.
